The whole church has a stake in cultivating questions of vocation in the hearts and minds of young people. Congregations play a vital role when they actively identify and nurture young men and women with the potential to become excellent pastoral leaders. To assist congregations in this work, FTE provides a broad array of initiatives and resources.
FTE encourages and equips congregations with a variety of resources for nurturing vocational exploration and cultivating the next generation of pastors. Resources include workshops and conferences, consultation and a library that offers program models, reading lists and other print materials.
The Congregational Fellowship enables a congregation to provide significant financial aid for a student entering the first year of a Master of Divinity program. This matching grant program doubles a congregation's investment in the theological education of a young person whose call to ministry it has helped to cultivate.
Calling is an on-line journal that equips church
leaders with insights and strategies for cultivating the call to ministry in a congregational setting.
