Semper Fi & America’s Fund cares for our Nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families. Supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, we provide one-on-one case management, connection, and lifetime support. Today. Tomorrow. Together.
Our programs are designed with a commitment to those we serve. The Fund is dedicated to providing immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to our Nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families.
We operate our programs and services through a “needs-based” approach. Staff and volunteers work one-on-one with our service members, veterans, and military families – providing ongoing support for as long as legitimate needs require.
Experienced at anticipating needs, our case managers often introduce new programs to further assist service members and military families throughout the journey to recovery and transition back into their communities.
The Fund processes, on average, 170 grant requests each day. We typically deliver assistance within 24-48 hours of receiving an emergency request and within a week for non-urgent cases.
Semper Fi & America’s Fund (The Fund) was started in 2003 by military spouses who immediately volunteered to provide bedside support to those wounded and injured while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Operated today by those same military spouses, The Fund now includes a nationwide staff of patriotic veterans, community members, and volunteers. The Fund’s model of lifelong relationships between service members, military families, and our team is completely unique among veteran nonprofits.

2003
Our story began in the spring of 2003. Just returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom, the first wave of wounded Marines and Sailors landed at Camp Pendleton, California. They provided a specialized van for a quadriplegic Marine Lance Corporal through the generosity of donors such as retired Marine Colonel Jack Kelly. This was just the beginning of a long commitment and promise to care for our wounded, ill, and injured and their families.
